Paper on the Thermodynamics of Spin-Imbalanced Fermi Gases with SU(N) Symmetric Interaction has been accepted by PRL

Our work on the Thermodynamics of Spin-Imbalanced SU(N) Fermi Gases has been accepted by PRL. This is a collaborative work with Prof. Jo’s experimental group at HKUST. We find an interesting non-monotonic dependence of the fluctuations on the number of minority spins in a spin imbalanced SU(N) system. Xin-Yuan Gao from our group (co-first author) developed the theory, which matched experimental results primarily conducted by Chengdong He (first author) from HKUST.
